MC Lars has released a music video featuring Sega’s upcoming title, Bayonetta.  According to MC Lars, “Beefy“, “Random” and himself wrote the song about how Bayonetta looks like Tina Fey and got Tina Root from the 90s industrial band Switchblade Symphony (back with the LA band Small Halo) to sing the hook.  The song was produced by Jason Bazinet from SMP.

Bayonetta is set to hit store shelves tomorrow, January 5th.  Check out the video below and tell us what you think.

This game is hands down the most overhyped thing ever. The demo was shocking, literally awful.

The media can jump on this and try and bring about a revival of Japanese games in 2010 if they like but I am sorry – this game is just awful. The demo builds a picture of attempting to borrow the best aspects from DMC, Ninja Gaiden and God of war and it fails spectacularly at every point.

It doesnt carry the swauve or style of DMC, it comes across as confusing, jumbled and random to the point where it feels forced. The gameplay is noway near as fun and challenging as neither DMC nor Ninja Gaiden and lets be honest here: did you really enjoy the demo that much? I am struggling to see any reason for the hype machine behind this one.

Poor camera, poor controls, boring and simple gameplay and randomness to the point of fustration – and this is just from a demo. If this is the year of Japanese gaming returning then i am staying well clear from my console, especially since i have seen some low scores for FF13 creeping in aswell!

@josh I’m sorry but I couldn’t agree any less with you on the game. Never played the demo but the game itself is amazing. One of the best games I’ve played in a while and is by far better than any semi-recent Ninja Gaiden games.
Camera is slightly iffy but it can be pretty much customised to a speed and movement that suits you from the options menu, the controls are great. Combos flow so smoothly and are all fun and exciting to watch. The story and style of the game is nothing short of great.
And lastly, Bayonetta is easily one of the best and sassiest heroines in any video game.
