Win 10,000 Points From Dead Pixel Arcade

Almost two months ago the indie game “You Will Die” became the first XBox Live Indie Game to be added to the world famous Twin Galaxies Scoreboard.  Since that happened players have been able to play “You Will Die” and compete for worldwide recognition and to gain a spot beside the best gamers in the world such as Billy Mitchell, Steve Wiebe and Todd Rogers.  For those who might not know anything about it “You Will Die” is an intense 2D shooter where the player is a lone ship battling against a single enemy.  Each time the enemy ship is destroyed, it returns bigger and meaner than before.  The player does not receive any power-ups and the only aid given is a shield, and the ability to regain health.

To help cebrate “You Will Die” being added to Twin Galaxies, they have set a ‘bounty’ on the “You Will Die” world record.  10,000 Microsoft points will be awarded to the person holding the World Record as of August 1, 2010.  Second place will receive 1,600 Microsoft points and the third highest score will receive 400 Microsoft points.

All score submissions must follow the Twin Galaxies guidelines and must be received by August 1, 2010.  Twin Galaxies does require a video record of the high score attempt.  This includes a full recording of the gameplay, including boot-up and loading of the system and game.  For full details on the procedures to submit a score you can visit the Twin Galaxies website by clicking here.
