Sony Computer Entertainment America is set to debut the third season of The Tester today. This season, 12 new cast members compete in grueling physical and mental challenges to win a job as a Production Associate at the world famous Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Santa Monica Studio. The winner will also receive a $5,000 signing bonus, 55″ 3D Bravia TV, a Playstation 3 system and a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium. Season 3 includes returning panelists Adrianne Curry and Brent Gocke, senior release manager from SCEA, who will join host Meredith Molinari. This season features contestants from San Bernardino to Brooklyn to the Dominican Republic, including the winner of “The Tester 3” online casting contest, Arin Hanson (aka Egoraptor), who received enough of the 564,000 community votes from the more than 30,000 registered participants to win a spot on the Season 3 cast. Some of the guest panelists this season will include: John Garvin – Game Director, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Director, Product Development, Sony Bend Studios David Jaffe – Co-Director “Twisted Metal” and Co-Founder of Eat Sleep Play Dylan Jobe – President, LightBox Interactive Seth Killian – Special Combat Advisor, Capcom Greg Miller – Playstation Executive Editor, IGN Nolan North – Actor, Author, the voice of Nathan Drake Todd Papy – Design Director, God of War III “With each season of ‘The Tester’ we have seen a significant increase in fan engagement and enthusiasm for compelling gaming lifestyle content delivered to our PSN audience,” said Kevin Furuichi, executive producer of original programming, PlayStation Network. “Season 2 of ‘The Tester’ received a 46 percent increase from the debut season with more than 3.5 million downloads, which ranks the average episode viewership on par with popular television series on DIRECTV.” “Ford is always looking for new mediums that help us engage with customers in different ways,” said Brian McClary, Ford social and emerging media specialist. “We received positive feedback and results from last season’s participation and this season we are upping the ante by giving the winner of ‘The Tester’ a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium.
