The first gaming console I ever owned was a SEGA Mega Drive and the first game which I played on the console which was a birthday gift was FIFA 95 which featured Tottenham and Norway goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt on the front cover. It amazes me to think just how far the footballing franchise has progressed over the last 20 years or so, it has become a way of life to many and always continues to re-invent itself rather than just releasing basic features and new kits. As a Chelsea fan, I certainly sat up on my seat when I saw the new FIFA 15 Christmas commercial as it features my favourite player, Eden Hazard who is one day going to eclipse fellow star Lionel Messi as the best player in the world. The commercial is well made. It has a great balance of humour, a very well thought out adaptation of a popular Christmas song and also enough game play action to really whet the whistle of football fans. The video features a gameplay clip of the Stamford Bridge stadium under floodlight conditions and the graphics are simply stunning. Everything is captured perfectly, from the winter pitch that gives you a chill just to look at through to just how close to real life Hazard and fellow Chelsea player Diego Costa look in the clip. I got my hands on FIFA 15 over the Christmas period and it is a fantastic game, if you are a football fan you certainly need this game in your life. Highly recommended. Check out the trailer below.
