• Fight Night Round 4 - Header

Electronic Arts have announced that Fight Night Round 4 is now available in stores across the globe.

The latest version of the boxing franchise boasts a roster of 48 boxers, and is the first title ever that will allow players to pit “Iron” Mike Tyson against “The Greatest” Muhammad Ali.

Other noteable boxers included are Lennox Lewis, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. Once you’re fed up of wearing the gloves of a famous boxer, there’s a fantastic create-a-boxer feature which offers a plethora of options, or you can import your own face into the game using the Photo Game Face tool and bring your virtual self into the ring and take the gold in Legacy (career) mode.

Check back soon for our review of the game.

I can’t wait to check this one out. The career mode should help with the life of the game, and the customisation options should be fun on Xbox LIVE/PSN.

Fight Night Round 3 is still one of the best games on Xbox 360. The pressure is on EA to get this one right. Especially after FaceBreaker!

Holy crap this is good. Also has probably one of the best camera-capture modes that I’ve yet seen on the 360 so don’t chuck away that Live Cam yet. With half an hour’s work you can really put yourself into the game and then watch as your pretty face gets turned into mashed potato by the likes of Tyson and Ali.

The fights are realistic, visceral and bloody. Button mashers might not like the lack of a button mode, but tbh if you don’t use the sticks in this you really are missing out on some of the finer nuances of control anyway.

      Thoroughly recommended.

I still can’t get excited about this. Now having played the Wii I find it difficult to get into games where the control method just feels wrong. We’ve been spoilt by the Wii. Much the same for Golf games.

Jury is still out for me on this one – downloaded the demo and even having loved Fight Night 3… I found this one not to my taste.

Have left the demo alone and might have another crack at it – as this was one I was looking forward to.
