If you utter the word ‘Battlefield’ to the gaming community, their eyes will light up of memories of the games of days gone by from the award-winning franchise. My first experience of the Battlefield franchise came in the winter of 2002 when I picked up Battlefield 1942 for the Xbox. Since then I’ve been hooked and 13 years later I am still excited to take on what EA have to offer us. The latest iteration of the franchise comes in the form of Battlefield Hardline. Developed by Visceral Games, who were the clever chaps who have scooped numerous awards for their work on the Dead Space series. Battlefield Hardline will take place on the streets of Los Angeles and Miami as the war on crime is well underway. Gamers will have the chance to decide on whether they want to be a cop or a criminal, which will pave the way for a fantastic storyline. Powered by the Frostbite 3 game engine, the game offers a plethora of new game modes including Heist and Rescue to complement the multiplayer action which we have all become accustomed to. The single player mode will see you take up the part of Nick Mendoza, a Miami Police Detective rookie as he gets to grips with the worst criminals the States has to offer. There’s also plenty of new guns to put in your arsenal, a range of new cars and police choppers – they really have gone all out to make this a knockout of a game. Don’t just take our word for it, check out the trailer below. This post has been sponsored by EA..
