• Now that the Xbox E3 conference has ended for 2013, I thought it the best time to highlight my top 5 trailers. In no particular order I might add – as that would be pretty tough since there were a lot of top games on show.

    1) Dead Rising 3

I loved how this was such a surprise to all of us watching. The massive open world and the sheer number of zombies will make this a great game for the Xbox One. They said that “Dead Rising 3 delivers a heart-pounding experience unlike any other as players fight for survival in a massive, open world teeming with thousands of undead’’. I think this will be a big hit.

    2) Ryse: Son of Rome

I know what you’re thinking, a lot of quick time events and buttons presses. Don’t think this is a bad thing however, see God of War for this. The trailer showed how brutal this game will be but also how massive the scope is. The large draw distance and the fantastic graphics made my jaw drop. I am a huge fan of this genre of games and I can’t wait to see what the story has to offer.

    3) Titanfall

This blew me away, the graphics alone were gorgeous. I am a great fan of mech based games, this title hit a nerve with me. I especially enjoyed the fact that the Titans are not over powered, they have weaknesses and these can be go to by normal humans. This is a multiplayer game as confirmed by the studio, that’s not a bad thing in my opinion as the level design and massive scale of warfare in this game lends itself perfectly for multiplayer. This will be a big hit as it will allow Xbox one players to get right on board literally.

    4) Killer Instinct

Don’t shoot with this one, as soon as I heard ‘Jago’ I was in tears. Then I saw and my childhood came back. The fast furious fighting of Killer Instinct is something I have been waiting for so long since my SNES days. With all the new innovations on Xbox One this has to be a hit.

    5) Project Spark

My take on this trailer is that it presents a game with unlimited possibilities. Add the smart glass feature and you get a game that is based on your mind and you imagination. I really hope this gets a lot of coverage and people recognise this as a true marvel of the next gen. It can be something that all ages can play not just a set demographic.

What did I miss? What were your top five trailers?
